Highbrow Dining in Georgetown
The team at Marcel’s doesn’t mess around with preserving the classic traditions of fine dining.
After its $350,000 renovation last year, the restaurant added luxe, white leather chairs and glittering chandeliers to match its polished tasting menu. Its prices match the five-star setting, but for smaller meetings Marcel’s refined French cuisine warrants the splurge.
The chef Robert Wiedmaier excels in inventing unique seasonal dishes with unparalleled techniques. We recommend selecting a tasting menu to experience his thoughtful flow from inspiring starters to bold-flavored entrees. However, all of the items can also be ordered from the a la carte menu for a fraction of the price.
The wine list has many expensive bottles, but with the help of the sommelier you can find some reasonable choices. The $100 bottles of Bordeaux are a good value and still taste indulgent.
