High-end Italian in Downtown
Some say Washington’s big decisions are often made over a saucy bowl of scialatielli. And we can’t blame them. We’ve had more successful business dinners at Tosca than we can count.
It seems like a cop-out to compliment an Italian restaurant’s pasta, but it’s a big part of why we keep returning to this downtown spot. From its light potato gnocchi to al dente linguine served as a starter or main course, Tosca measures up to our nostalgic memories of humid afternoons in Milan. Their proteins, like the larger than life veal chop and delicate Dover sole, are just as good. Be sure to start your meal off with their thinly sliced prosciutto, which the restaurant sources from the best regions of Parma, Italy. It’s the best we’ve ever tasted.
It’s also a great place for doing business because you can really get some privacy. The waiters are seemingly invisible, yet your water glass is always full and your check is ready before you ask. They’ve truly mastered the art of feeding Washington’s elite.

I always make sure I have dinner at Tosca’s when visiting DC. The Osso Bucco is my favorite.
