A Romantic Hideaway on the Water
If you really want to impress your clients—or a date—you’ve got to take them to this seaside restaurant. 53 By The Sea sits on the water’s edge like a European castle. Come before sunset to witness the most spectacular view of Diamond Head and the Waikiki skyline. Make sure to ask for a table by a window.
As you might expect, the restaurant does seafood dishes very well—their executive chef Thomas Ho was previously at the acclaimed sushi restaurant Nobu in Las Vegas—but the really impressive dishes on the menu tend to be the hard-to-execute pastas and chops. While the servers are very helpful, service tends to be slow. Make the most of it by extending your dinner over many courses. The quiet dining room lends itself to great business conversations.
Close your evening at their bar, T’s at 53, which has panoramic views of the ocean. Grab tiki drinks with your group and enjoy the live jazz music.
Menu Highlights: Chilled Seafood Showcase, Lobster Bisque, Fettuccine Salsiccia, and Colorado Lamb Chops.
