Iconic Waterfront Dining at Fisherman’s Wharf
For a break from the typical fine-dining experience, take your clients to Scoma’s on San Francisco’s happening Fisherman’s Wharf.
The atmosphere is far from highbrow, but it’s a fun place to unwind and enjoy the local fare. Expect to wait in the bar before being seated, even with a reservation. This place is always crowded.
You can’t go wrong with one of their Dungeness crab dishes. The crabs are pulled each morning from the Bay and delivered to the restaurant. We love the Crab Louis, which comes with a generous portion of lump claw meat. They have a very reasonably-priced wine list that includes our favorite Chardonnays. Though red wines aren’t an obvious pairing for seafood, we think the Jordon Cabernet Sauvignon works well with their heartier dishes, like their brothy cioppino seafood stew.
