Unexpected Class in a Shopping Center
Don’t be fooled by this restaurant’s modest location. The Italian spot, tucked away in the heart of The Marketplace at Dr. Phillips shopping center, doesn’t disappoint.
It’s not uncommon to see businessmen seated beside couples celebrating their anniversary. Christini’s is the place in Orlando for special occasions. The kitchen pulls out all the stops with authentic Italian recipes that the owner Chris Christini originally brought over from Rome. Their Costata Di Vitello Alla Parmigiana is excellent, but their signature dish is the 32 oz. Costata Di Vitello. Believe it or not, this is a smaller version of their famous veal chop that Bob Hope once joked about on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The meal goes beautifully with a Brunello, our favorite from their extensive wine list.
Be sure to take some cash out before to tip the accordion player that comes around the dining room. He takes requests, and he’s quite good at playing obscure songs. Prices are a little high for Orlando, but you get great value and a memorable experience.
