Refined Italian Fare in the Magnificent Mile
Even your most discerning clients will fall head over heels for this place.
With a sweeping view of Lake Michigan and a James Beard Award under its belt, Spiaggia is one of the finest restaurants you will ever dine in. We prefer to choose from their eclectic a la carte menu, but the tasting menu, which ranges from $95 to $250 a person, has equally surprising and delicious dishes.
Their specials feature wonderful seasonal ingredients, like sweet Meyer lemons and heirloom squash, which are grown in the Midwest bread basket. The chef Tony Mantuano is extremely skilled, and it’s quite fun to see the presentations he puts together. You should have no problem finding an excellent wine within your budget. The wine list is extensive with a huge selection of Italian wines.
Reservations are often difficult to get, so plan ahead. The restaurant is quiet so groups fewer than 12 will be very comfortable in the main dining room. Arrive early and have a drink in the lounge.
Menu Highlights:
Focaccia Foie Gras, Scallop with Meyer Lemon, and Duck with Nectarine.
